Deep inside the boatyards beneath Worli Fort, generational shipwrights and net-weavers preserve crafts that predate modern industrial vessels. In this immersive hands-on 2-hour masterclass led by Master Carpenter Nana Patil, you will work directly with bamboo needles and marine-grade cords to weave your own mini decorative souvenir net. Discover how indigenous boatbuilders steam and bend Malabar teak, seal planks using natural resin (*Dammar*) and cotton caulking without a single iron bolt, and hear age-old folklore regarding the protective sea-god carvings adorning coastal prows.
